Drought Plan Point Venture. The Travis County Water Control and Improvement District has announced that the town of Point Venture is currently under a Stage 1 Drought Contingency Plan. This is due to the combined lake levels of both Lake Travis and Lake Buchanan dropping below 1.4 million feet.

New guidelines will be announced should Stages end up becoming escalated by the Lower Colorado River Authority.

Point Venture customers are permitted to irrigate their landscapes two days per week, and this includes both hose-end sprinklers and irrigation systems. Customers who have addresses that end in an odd number, however, may only water on both Wednesdays and Saturdays, while customers who have addresses that end in an even number may only water on both Thursdays and Sundays.

In terms of commercial customers, these residents may only water on both Tuesdays and Fridays. This includes larger-sized landscapes like POA and townhouse common areas.
