Amplify Austin Day. Now going into its tenth year, Amplify Austin Day is seeking to increase its overall equitable giving to nonprofit organizations in Central Texas during the event that is designed to celebrate giving.

The event, which is hosted by I Live Here I Give Here, originally began back in 2013 and has so far raised approximately $82 million through a total of 500,000 donations to many local nonprofit organizations. This year, the goal of Amplify Austin Day is to reach a total of 50,000 donors, a 30% increase from 2021.

Courtney Manuel, the CEO of I Live Here I Give Here, had the following to say in regards to this:

“It’s only our community that is going to step up and support others in our community and keep Austin as that place that everyone loves to live in. But we have to keep showing up because as Austin grows, the giving must also grow. As Austin grows, the disparity is also growing, so the giving is more crucial.”

Members of the community will be able to donate to more than 700 different nonprofit organizations located throughout Central Texas, which includes locations in Hays, Williamson, Travis, and four other counties. The donations can be made to certain nonprofits or specific ones can be searched for by category. This includes animals, civic engagement, racial equity, and various other causes.

Additionally, the community of Austin will also be able to watch a special 24-hour livestream event entitled Amplify Life, in which the sharing of celebrity guests, media leaders, businesses, and nonprofit community needs will occur, and live musical performances can be enjoyed as well. The livestream event will be able to be viewed online, as well as on the official Facebook and YouTube pages of I Live Here I Give Here and Austin Public Channel 10.
